Why do some things stay with us, while others fade and end up getting replaced?
An object you reach for without thinking. One that's part of your life and gives something back.
Most things never get there. They arrive, they leave, and you don't notice either.
Quietly we've been trained out of attachment.
Overlit. Overstaged. You hold it and there's nothing there.
I put on a record. Slide it from the sleeve. Place it on the turntable. Brush the dust. Feel the tiny resistance when the needle catches the groove.
I could press play on my phone.
I make every bag myself. No outsourcing. First idea to last stitch.
I'm driven by the desire to be a better designer and craftsman. That's what I'm putting in the bag. Whether it gets there is for you to judge.
Geist is time spent making.
